Lost in the Stacks: Wayfinding at the University of Wyoming Libraries

The University of Wyoming (UW) Libraries elected to implement a user-focused collections mapping tool (StackMap) to improve patron experience and encourage engagement with our libraries’ spaces and materials. In recognition that libraries are always changing, this project began approximately one year post go-live with Primo VE to address some loss in wayfinding functionality for our users. To ensure this integration met those needs, we sought feedback from public-facing library departments at various stages of the project. This presentation will provide an overview of our collaborative approach to data collection and floor plan mapping processes. Presenters will also share their future goals to assess impact, integrate LibGuides, and highlight library initiatives.
