At the Los Rios Community College Libraries, providing our users with browseable lists of newly acquired titles in various subject areas had proved elusive since we migrated to Alma/Primo VE in 2019. Upon acquiring the Library Open Workflows tool, we set about creating a flexible and sustainable system for this purpose, which we soft-launched in the fall 2025 semester. Our workflow uses APIs to connect Google Sheets, Alma Analytics, and Alma Collections (Collection Discovery), accommodating diverse needs across our four colleges. We’ll discuss the rationale behind this approach and some of the practical challenges we’ve encountered along the way.
