Primo VE to NDE: Coordinating the Switch in a Consortium

Back to Schedule Check-inYou can join session 5 minutes before start time.

Session Information

Switching from Primo VE to the new NDE takes planning for any institution, and coordinating the implementation across a consortium adds to the complexity. In this session we will share how our consortium started to plan and coordinate this switch for 40 institutions, including the role of ILS coordinators and member library deans and directors in determining readiness expectations and setting a go-live target date for summer 2026. We will share a variety of strategies used to keep work moving and communication consistent across member libraries, such as organizational framework and timelines, webinar watch parties, monthly office hours and practical documentation and checklists. We will also discuss how we tailored support for institutions with varying levels of staffing and capacity, including providing and testing customization scripts, add-ons and incorporating accessibility considerations throughout the process.
