Back to Schedule Check-inYou can join session 5 minutes before start time.

Session Information

In February, Ex Libris released the new BIBFRAME Editor in Alma, marking an exciting step forward in supporting linked data–based cataloging workflows. The session, presented by speakers from the Linked Open Data Community of Practice Working Group and Ex Libris - Clarivate, will provide a brief demonstration of the Editor's core features, such as working with templates and BIBFRAME entities, and discuss key differences from traditional MARC-based workflows. Drawing on real-world experience, the presenters will share observations and lessons learned from cataloging monographs in BIBFRAME, with a focus on workflow design and staff training. Designed to help attendees gain a clearer understanding of the tool's current capabilities and how to catalog monographs in BIBFRAME, the session will also create a welcoming space for participants to ask questions, share feedback, and engage in discussion.
