[alternate-m/T30from3:30-4:15ot] Migration Opportunities to Improve User Journeys: Wayfinding, Letters, and More

Session Information

Creating cohesive user journeys means users will find what they need along the way with less friction, and make it more likely they will have a successful library experience. Over the last two years, DePaul University Library went through multiple migrations, and each time took the opportunity to rethink workflows and improve user journeys, both digitally and physically. One migration was to Springshare's LibMaps, which required a new integration with Primo and reconsideration of how we describe our space to users in Primo. With the migration to Primo NDE, we are working with users to improve these integrations. We will also demonstrate how updates to item policies, letters, and lost item workflows in Alma have improved communication with users about the items they have out. We will present how we approached this work and how this has improved user experience, and tips for doing this at other libraries.
