Search profile slots enable the institution to define groups of records that meet specific conditions, thereby enabling the end user in Primo VE to search and quickly find materials and services that are offered by the institution.
For example, these groups may contain records that
- belong to a specific library or location
- have a specific resource type
- have a specific word from subject or other field.
While several out-of-the box search profile slots exist, creating additional customized search profile slots can greatly aid the end user in discovering the desired material.
During this session we will create several examples of new search profile slots and see how they are added to Primo VE.
