Live, Laugh, Library Open Workflows: A Consortial Approach to LibOW Implementation and Automation

Session Information

The Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) has been an early adopter of Ex Libris' new Library Open Workflows (LibOW) automation platform. This session will share how we developed a collaborative process for learning, testing, and refining LibOW as a service that supports workflows across our member libraries. We will describe our biweekly "LibOW Lab" meetings, where staff exchange tips, troubleshoot issues, and document best practices; and how we worked with partner libraries to understand their workflow needs, gather feedback, and determine how WRLC should apply LibOW on their behalf. Attendees will gain insight into our implementation strategy, the benefits and challenges we encountered, and practical lessons that other institutions (consortial or standalone) can use when deploying LibOW to support library operations.
