Chart a Path: Practical Project Management for Primo NDE Implementation

Session Information

The Primo NDE is here, and successful implementation requires more than technical readiness-strong project management practices are also essential. In 2025-2026, a small project team at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln implemented the Primo NDE on schedule by applying pragmatic project management approaches suited to library environments. This session demonstrates how structured planning, communication, and lightweight tracking tools can support a smooth transition to Go-Live. Attendees will learn how tools such as a project charter and Kanban board can be used to manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and identify risks early. The session also highlights key implementation decisions, including theming, integrating stakeholder feedback, and configuration choices. Designed for those new to project management, this session offers a practical, real-world roadmap for institutions preparing to implement the Primo NDE.
